"Exactly six miles north of
The last time I saw Bingo Gas Station Motel Cheeseburger with a Side of Aircraft Noise and you’ll be
But I said “Bingo, wait a minute!” And the reason I said that is because I believe in you people. I believe you can do the job. I believe that you can help each other.
I believe you can make this world a better place to live in".
I’m losing faith. I now believe that Bingo made his way into our supposedly “civilized” society long ago. He transformed himself into a genial appearing lizard, overcame his stuttering problem, and now leads our nation to its own death and destruction. For help and support, he found a few others who think like he does or simply wanted to enrich themselves.
Worst of all, it’s we the people that allowed this to happen. There’s no one else to blame.
We are approaching a position where nothing short of revolution has a chance of saving us. And the people haven’t the gumption or the horse sense to carry it off. They’re easily distracted. It’s almost football season.
The rest of the world hates us. We have 734 military bases on their soil. Do you think that might have had something to do with why nineteen foreigners brought us the horrors of 9/11? It makes more sense than an unending war against an adjective, or that religious fanatics are trying to convert us.
We have more citizens in jail than some countries have in population. The dollar is falling in value. One by one, our investment bubbles are bursting. Debentures and hedge funds are the last to go and they were nothing but air to begin with.
We’ve given away the industrial base that made this country great. Now we can barley feed and clothe ourselves. We continue to under-produce while over-consuming. We are currently running more than an $800 billion annual trade deficit because we buy everything from flowers to cars and even weapons from other countries while selling them very little.
We haven’t a national health care system. Voting is done on hackable computers. Our schools rank amongst the worst on the planet. Unions have turned to recruiting members of our largest employer – the government. The gap between rich and poor widens daily.
We cheer if there are some new jobs for graduates when we need 150,000 of these jobs every month just to break even. People are losing their retirement funds. To survive, many are selling equity in their homes. We even have reverse mortgages that work like slush funds.
And I haven’t even mentioned the illegal immigration problem. Wide open borders make the “war on terror” look like a joke.
Social Security, the working man’s supplemental retirement insurance, now holds almost $2.3 trillion in "unfunded securities" and is 24.5 percent of the nation’s $8.9 trillion debt. How did we get this debt? Social Security has been producing a monthly surplus most of its life.
We got this debt by giving the government money, by allowing them to steal the monthly surplus without reprisal. We bought debt just as though we walked up to Uncle Scam, gave him bags of our retirement money, and said “here sell me some debt.”
Anyone with common sense knows that if you let a child test the limits of what he or she can get away with, and you don't reprimand them, they'll take even more. It’s the old “give them an inch and they’ll take a mile” story. We gave our government more than a foot, probably more than a mile.
Bingo Gas Station has been amongst us for some time.
