All that talk to go or not to go, as though there were some sort of serious debate going on, is just talk. Nothing but propaganda put forth by spin doctors to make you believe that we are the good guys who wouldn't attack another nation, even under the new first strike initiative, without absolute proof that such a nation was a serious threat to our well being.

Well, the proof is in the pudding. According to reports from our allies, the United States already has thousands of troops in Iraq doing whatever damage they can and setting up facilities for a larger invasion. Say your farewells to sons and daughters about to go to Iraq under the pretense of ousting one man, setting up a new government, and getting our hands on all that oil.

As far as I'm concerned, it's déjà vu from last year with "weapons of mass destruction" added in by the country that invented them, used them, perfected them, disseminated them, and now wants to decide who can and cannot have them, provided they're smaller than us and more backward than China.

Again, we've got politicians running around the country saying the most ridiculous and outlandish things about the greatest economic rip-off any government has ever pulled on its own citizens. Again, they seem to feel safe and confident that they will never be held accountable for the statements they're now making, even while condemning corporations for doing the same, for causing the same loss of their employees and investors retirement money to double bookkeeping, hiding debt, and greed. The ides of August are here again.

In no time at all, everything else will be pushed into the background as the nation plunges into a war that the warlords are confident will be nasty, brutish, and short. Hail the New World Odor.
