Can you believe it? There are actually people who believe George W. Bush can resolve the conflict between
The whole thing is just about as ironic and predictable as Bush lecturing the Europeans on “transparency” in government or telling the G8 Conference that "Israel has the right to defend itself." Gee George, don't Iran and North Korea have the same right, especially after you called them the axis of evil and invaded the other leg of that axis?
Since when has taking a couple of enemy soldiers prisoner instead of killing them been called “kidnapping?” These Israeli soldiers were not “kids” and they certainly weren’t “napping.” I know, I know, there wasn’t a formal declaration of war so the Geneva Convention doesn’t apply yet and the “war on terror” is really a farce – all anyone has to do is look at our own border security to understand that.
Once you realize that our government is completely corrupt, these things become easier to predict. All you have to do is imagine the most evil and malicious thing the federal government could do next, and voila, most times you’ll be right on target.
Let’s turn to a different example:
At a recent White House press conference Bush said that “we (the government) must stop spending on entitlements” (see “Crappola File” #1).
Have you ever heard anything more preposterous?
Since taking office, Bush has skimmed $486 billion from Social Security, the most successful legitimate insurance program in the country. He's funded invasions and occupations with that money, and substituted dollar-for-dollar debt markers drawing annual compound interest under the pretense that they merely "borrowed" the money and the insane idea that the same money can be both spent and saved. And then, because the tab is more than twenty-three percent of the national debt, he demands that someday we pay these same tax contributions again, plus interest. Not only is that theft, but it's double taxation plain and simple.
When you add in the interest that has accrued in these G.W. Bush years, the grand increase in Social Security debt for which the taxpaying public is responsible is $799.7 billion or $800 billion rounded. More than two decades of accumulating debt has brought Social Security alone to $1.8 trillion in debt markers. Add in the other 137 trusts in Intragovernmental Holdings (IH) and the total is now $3.6 trillion, all as fraudulent as Social Security's tab.
Even if Bush had meant to say that the government must stop spending money due entitlements, which is what he would have said if he was a good guy, Social Security's debt would still increase every year just on the "interest" they dump into the account. Amd the entire IH account, forty-two percent of the national debt, would continue to increase more than $200 billion a year on interest alone.
After grand theft and a scam like that, cutting benefits for more unwarranted invasion funding and slaughter would be the pinnacle of extortion and financial evil.
Any private sector company that backed out of a contract in this manner, cutting benefits due the people that already paid for them and are “entitled” to them, would be seeking bankruptcy protection or out of business in no time. It makes Ken Lay and Jeff Skilling look like angels.
And this is the man that wanted Social Security reform. You do see where his head is at don't you?
