RIGHT OFF THE BAT
RENO APPOINTS JOHN DANFORTH former senator from Missouri who tells us, right at the beginning, that he is not going to investigate "errors of judgement" in his "independent" Waco investigation. Isn't that just a little like a police detective telling you that he is not going to concern himself with motive?
In other words, ex-senator Danforth is not going to question why the government acted crazier than the people they were trying to apprehend or flush out; why the BATF was there is the first place; why the so called warrant to inspect possibly illegal guns, gun alteration, or methamphetamine drug manufacture was not carried out in normal fashion; why the BATF couldn't seize or apprehend David Koresh at the gas station; why the BATF didn't inspect the compound when Koresh invited them to do so or why they didn't do it when they were there for a shooting match 9 days before the holocaust began; why the Delta Force and the British SS were called in as "advisors" and "observers" (the same as we heard about our boys in Viet Nam); why the Alabama National Guard had been called in unconstitutionally; why it was decided to use Janet's "rent-a-tanks," use CS gas on children without gas masks, and other such questions of judgement. Instead, he will concentrate on who fired guns first, who started the fire, was there a coverup, whether the government really did kill anyone and other "bad acts." Maybe, by the time it's over, we'll have a new definition of the word "kill" and the FBI will open a child care center in your neighborhood.
NONE OF THIS WOULD BE HAPPENING IF NOT FOR A TEXAS JUDGE & THE TEXAS RANGERS.
..........If Federal Judge Walter Smith, of the Western District of Texas, had not given the go ahead to a long standing suit by surviving Branch Davidians---and the Texas Rangers had not walked into his courtroom with 12 tons of evidence they did not trust to the FBI---we would never have heard anything more on this subject from Janet Reno and the FBI.
After three or four investigations of their own, the federal government has for many years been content all questions had been answered. If they wanted to "get to the bottom of things," they certainly had ample opportunity. No, it wasn't until July of this year when this Texas judge decided to go forward with the long standing Branch Davidian lawsuit, when the Rangers later handed him evidence that had "never seen the light of day," and when he then issued, perfectly within his rights, a sweeping order to Washington to turn over "all evidence" related to the siege at Waco---that we then see our government officials starting to jump through hoops to cover themselves. Like pregnant foxes in a forest fire, we suddenly have government agencies arguing with each other and all sorts of "evidence to the contrary" being discovered by people who do not want to be caught with it in their possession. There should be no one but complete idiots and sleepwalkers who do not see this for what it is.

Yet, the mainstream media continues to ignore the obvious just as they did when reports of what was happening in Texas first hit the wire services on July 3, 1999. Here it is, the middle of September, and the talking heads, investigative reporters, columnists and spin doctors are concentrating on stories that appear deliberately designed to have us believe that the federal government is coming up with all of this on their own. Wanting us to believe that an "independent investigation" sponsored by the Justice Department, Dan Burton or Orrin Hatch is going to finally answer everything (except errors of judgement). And that the whole question hinges on who started the fire or shot the first shot.

Ignoring what's happened in a Texas court is deliberate, in your face, maneuvering by the major media, particularly the Clinton News Network (CNN). What are they maneuvering for? By completely ignoring Judge Smith's court they are giving the FBI and the Justice Department time to make certain 12 tons of evidence held in a Texas Ranger storage house does not reach the Waco courtroom or, at least, does not reach it before they have the chance to sift through it. Remember, 2400 pounds of evidence in bits and pieces is not easy to move.

To top it off, the major media seem hell bent on a campaign to discredit "conspiracy theorists." Under the guise that everything about Waco is just "so much fodder for the conspiracy theorists" or anyone with a computer, the presstitutes want the public to believe that only they have the inside track to the truth and there will always be wild stories coming from paranoid kooks and crackpots who complain about anything from Waco to the food in hospitals.
CONSPIRACY THEORISTS WOULD HAVE NOTHING TO CONSPIRE ABOUT --- IF THE GOVERNMENT DIDN'T KEEP THEM FED WITH SUCH RICH CONTENT AND FERTILE MATERIAL.

There have already been 4 full blown investigations of what happened in Waco. One by the FBI investigating itself. One by Janet Reno's own Justice Department. And two by congressional committees. They all came to the same conclusion. The government did nothing wrong.
Anyone who wanted to watch could see one of the congressional hearings on C-Span last week. Replayed at 3 AM if you happened to be up, you would have been treated to one of the greatest comedies in the world of legal bull. Following their "rules of order," each congressional panelist was given 5 minutes to question the 4 or 5 witnesses seated before them. Typically, the first two minutes was devoted to thanking the witnesses for showing up at all and how much the congressman appreciated their loyal service to their country. The next two minutes were devoted to why the congressman felt it was important to have these hearings and stories about similar cases they've heard, been involved with, or other self serving statements for the record. Finally, a question was asked. Sometimes this question was even pertinent to what happened at Waco.

For instance, one congressional panelist, I believe she was from Illinois, asked the witnesses to each answer the question of what they did in preparation for the final confrontation on April, 19th with the Branch Davidians. The first FBI witness testified that April 19th was, as far as he was concerned, just another day at the standoff that had already lasted 51 days, with long explanations of some of the things that entailed. No special preparations were made. Two witnesses later, we had another FBI witness testifying that they were fully prepared for this final day with many paramedics standing by and every hospital in the area fully alerted to the possibility of some 80 or more wounded. He testified that they even had helicopters standing by that were capable of carrying 30 people at a time to hospitals.

This obviously contradictory testimony was completely ignored. There were no follow-up questions by the congresswoman from Illinois or anyone else. Once the witnesses had each given their spiel, they were thanked by the congresswoman who wanted to preserve the balance of her time as she passed questioning to the next incompetant.

I watched long enough to see that this was the pattern of a congressional investigation. Disgusted, I went back to bed.

Do you believe ex-senator Danforth is going to do better, or would you rather follow what happens in Judge Smith's Texas court? Do you think the media will cover the latter? Fat chance, since they do not even acknowledge what's happened so far to bring this reinterest about. And where is King George, Jr. on this subject? He's the governor of Texas isn't he?
